One to One Advocacy

Speak Up

We are looking for local volunteers to become Citizen Advocates for people with learning disabilities. As a Citizen Advocates you would work alongside a person with a learning disability to make sure they are heard, make informed choices and become empowered and involved in the community.

Self Advocacy

You might also be interested in volunteering to support our work in self-advocacy groups. A self-advocacy group is a chance for people with learning disabilities to work together in a group, gain the skills and confidence to speak up for others and make things better for everybody.

You could also have the chance to help run workshops, and to help out at events and in our consultation work alongside people with learning disabilities.

Becoming a Trustee

Meeting in hall

If you like finance and dealing with staffing and governance issues you might like to join our Management Committee as a Trustee. There are four Committee meetings a year and there are also sub groups that you may want to join.

Training and Support
